The Norwin Alumni & Friends Association is proud to share that the selection process for the 2026 Class of Distinguished Alumni is now complete. This year, we are honored to recognize eleven new Distinguished Alumni, two Friends of Norwin, and our two scholarship recipients. Together, the achievements and contributions of these individuals reflect the very best of the Norwin community. This year’s honorees include:

Now Accepting Nominations for the Upcoming Class of Distinguished Alumni

The Norwin Alumni & Friends Association (NAFA) is seeking nominations for the upcoming class of Distinguished Alumni Award to be presented at the Ninth Annual Knight of Distinguished Alumni Recognition Dinner. This honor is awarded on the following criteria:

Graduated from a Norwin area public school in 2016 or earlier
Evidence of post high school academic and/or career excellence
Outstanding service to community (volunteerism) over a minimum of five years
Exemplary character and evidence of efforts/accomplishments that distinguish themselves from other Norwin area graduates.

All Norwin community members are welcome to nominate no more than two (2) alumni who fulfill the criteria by completing the nomination form online at norwinalumni.org.

Now Accepting Nominations for the 2025 Class of Distinguished Alumni

The Norwin Alumni & Friends Association, in cooperation with the Norwin School District Community Foundation, is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Class of Distinguished Alumni. The 2025 class will feature up to twelve alumni who have had careers of distinction since their days at Norwin High School. Nominees must be graduates of Irwin High School, North Huntingdon High School or Norwin High School and have been graduated from high school for at least ten years. In addition, the NAFA Executive Board may select one Distinguished Friend of Norwin to be honored for service to Norwin schools and community.

Bringing the Stories of our Distinguished Alumni Closer to Norwin Students

Those entering the Norwin High School through the auditorium entrance will find a new display honoring all of our Distinguished Alumni. Together with school visits from previous recipients, it is another opportunity to try and share their stories with current Norwin students. Through their stories, it is our hope that Norwin students will find inspiration as they prepare for the next chapter in their own stories.

On May 24, 2024, members of the Norwin community and past graduates came together in celebration of the accomplishments of ten Distinguished Norwin Alumni, our two Friends of Norwin, and our two graduating NAFA Scholarship recipients.
