Thank you to #1 Cochran for their Generous Support of Norwin Seniors

Last month, #1 Cochran, a local car dealership group well-known to the region, recently donated another $3,500 to increase the size of the #1 Cochran Toyota Scholarship managed by the Norwin School District Community Foundation. This is in addition to the nearly $19,000 donated in 2019 when the scholarship was first created.

Norwin Teachers: Don't Forget About the Educator Innovation Grant Program

Ms. Amanda Brunetto's Growing Positive Mindsets with Star STEM received a $750 Educator Innovation Grant for the 2019 school year. Ms. Brunetto sought to incorporate mental health, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into a yearlong program that tought positive thinking skills and bolstered students' confidence levels when faced with academic and life challenges.

We are excited to announce that the Norwin Alumni & Friends Association will now offer two $500 scholarships to graduating Norwin High school students who have been accepted to a college or trade school, and have at least one parent who is a Norwin graduate. The successful scholarship applicants will be those who show active and community service during their high school career.

The successful scholarship applicant will be one who shows active school and community service during their high school years.

Congratulations to our 2020 NAFA Scholarship Recipient

Rachel Milke, a member the Norwin High School Class of 2019, has been selected as this year’s recipient of the David J. Nelson Memorial Scholarship. Pictured during the scholarship presentation ceremony are Rachel, her parents, and Jeff and Lori Nelson. The NSDCF offers its congratulations to Rachel, and its best wishes as she continues on through college and beyond.
